Title: A Message For My Little Girl
by Donna Willoughby
A Message For My Little Girl
(Written as a message from God to an abused child coming into
adulthood.)
Don’t cry in the night, little girl
Don’t think you are all alone
I catch each tear you shed in the palm of my hand
I’m holding your pain, little girl
Don’t hide your face, little girl
Don’t be ashamed of the past
Don’t be afraid to love, for love is what you are
I’m changing your heart, little girl
This is not the end, only the beginning
Of discovering the secrets of your soul
Don’t fight the truth, nor give into a lie
Just take my hand and never let it go
So, don’t close you eyes, little girl
There is a future to see
The promise of joy I’ve written for you to live
I want you to see, little girl
See me with your heart, little girl
I live in the arms of a friend
My voice is the one that brings you hope
Open your heart, little girl
Hand me your worries and give me your fears
I’ll place them with all your tears, precious child
I’ll send them to Heaven and replace them with blessings
Guiding your path by the light of the Son
Walk with my love, little girl
No nee to fear anymore
Let me see the smile that warms my spirit
Have faith in me, little girl
Know you are mine, little girl
Call out my name to the world
No longer lost, no longer cold
As you rest in my arms, little girl
