Are you a Spiritual leader in your Home?
Most of you are probally expecting this to
be a guide for married or committed
men but
I'm gonna surprise you here. This is not
about that at all. Although
the things you
will find in this will eventually lead you
into being
a wonderful mate for the person
God has in mind just for you. Right now
I am
concerned with your spiritual well being and
I am concerned with
the needs of the
people in your life. You can bet the world
is watching
you and you need to be the
example that God intends for man to be.
If you are a married or committed man, you
can still use this information
to examine
yourself to see if you measure up to
what God expects from
you as a man.
Accountability:
It would be really easy in this life if we
could just
go through our day and not have
to worry about what we do or who we are,
But
life isnt like that. Regardless of if you
have someone in your life
to whom you are
accountable for or if you dont, there is one
person
who you cant get away from and that
person is God.
God first approached His disciples with a
command and that command was,
Come Follow
Me. It seems to me that your accountability
begins with
the question of your salvation.
Are you following Christ? Have you given
your heart and soul to Jesus? Is
He your Saviour and Lord? If He is then
you
have begun on your journey to being the man
of God that He expects
you to be. If you
haven't given your heart to Christ and
accepted Him
as your Saviour and Lord then
you need to seek the truth about salvation
through Jesus Christ. Look to Jesus as your
example and you won't go wrong
in your
journey to being the spiritual leader in
your home, regardless
if you are married or
single. Your loved ones, your friends and
your
associates all need you to be a godly
man.
A God Controlled Life What does it mean?
Are you seeking His will for every area of
your life?
Do you know how
to seek His
way?
Are you reading God's word to see if you
can understand
what He expects from you?
Do
you have a strong prayer life?
Are you
making godly choices in the things you do
and the places you go?
Making
your Faith Known:
So many times, while we're hanging out with
the crowd, we forget to mention
the most
important part of our heart, We tend to act
like this Macho
independant man who doesnt
need anyone but ourselves. Is this really
the right thing to do?
Does your belief in Jesus Christ show itself
- in your words? your actions? your home?
your conversations? in your
ability to reach
out to people in a leadership way? In your
understanding
of someone elses troubles? In
your willingness to help those around
you? In your worship and dependance on
Christ?
Are you constantly seeking Gods presence?
Could you imagine for a minute how wonderful
it would be to be involved
with the most
perfect, loving person in the world? Could
you imagine
for a minute what it would be
like to close your eyes and immediently
be
able to draw yourself into that persons
presence? That would be awesome
wouldn't it.
This is something you should rejoice in.
Jesus is a personal, perfect loving Father,
to whom you can always be
in fellowship with.
Many times its hard for a man to admit that
He needs another man to lean
on, to model
himself after and to ask for help, seems
to be something
none of us like to do.
I urge you to seek Jesus in a personal
worshipful way, Either through
music or
prayer or in His word or whatever it takes
for you to get into
His presence and for Him
to become real enough to hold your heart
when
the going gets tough.
Compassion and Provisions:
Are you sensitive to the needs of the people
in your life? Are you someone
they can count
on to understand , are you someone they
feel safe while
they are around? Are you
keeping your commitments?
Jesus was the most compassionate loving man
there ever was, He provided
the needs of the
people around Him. Regardless of the
need, He carried
the burden. We all know
other people can be a burden in our lives
but
when your heart is in the right place,
you wont mind helping others. Are
you
treating your loved ones with respect and
commitment? Are you allowing
them to explore
their own life or are you the dictator who
tries to
rule the roost? Are you spending
time in prayer for those in your life?
Putting it all together:
How is it you can
apply this to your life if you
are married
or single?
God has expectations for all of us and I
encourage
you to seek out the things that
God has in mind for you. But the most
important part of being a spiritual leader
in your home, is being the
spiritual leader
in every area of your being. You can't just
take people
for granted, You can't just turn
your heart off to their needs. Listen
to
those around you, their actions speak louder
than any words they
say.
Can you help
someone to find God's joy and presence ? Can
you envelope
those in your life with a kind
gentle patient understanding attitude -
just
like Christ? Can you be bold enough to let
someone know that they
are doing something
that is against God or will you allow the
people
in your heart to influence your life
in the wrong ways?
Encouraging
Others:
Are you an encouragement to the people
around you? Are you encouraging
them to be
the best they can be? Are you someone a
friend can turn to.
I think one of the
biggest mistakes people can make is allowing
the
world to keep Christ out of your
interaction with others. Loosing who
you are
inside is wrong, Hang on to what you know
Jesus is happy with
and reject those areas
in your life that don't match up.
And most of
all allow your loved ones the
same freedoms that you want for yourself.
Til Next Time.
