Emotional or Spiritual Strength
Are you depending on people for your
happiness? Or are you dependant on
God
to put joy in your life?
Are you controlled by money? Is the material
side of the world winning
out?
Do you take your health for granted or have
you considered what would
happen if your
health or your loved ones took a turn for
the worst?
So many different things in this world are
joy stealers and unless you
are aware of the
little miracles that God is doing in your
life, you
might not be able to hang on to
that little bit of happiness that comes
with
the Joy of The Lord.
Life is hard and until you learn to let God
deal with the problem, instead
of trying to
figure it all out for you, you will never
allow God to
be in control of every area of
your life.
Christian, are you doing your
part to help
those around you; who can't seem to handle
life? Maybe you are closing off your soul to
the satisfaction of doing
what God expects
His people to do.
Would you react to others in the wrong way,
if you took the time to realize
that your
actions are teaching the world who you
really are, or in the eyes of a
child, you
could be the one thing that teaches them to
be cold hearted
and uncaring.
All down through our life, we are on a long
journey and for Christians,
our journey leads
us to the heart of God. We have to over come
many hurdles and stumbling
blocks along
the way. And when you continue to learn and
walk in His
joy and Lordship, you find more
and more peace and joy than you ever thought
possible.
You know that co-dependance on anything but
God, only works for a little
while. Are you
still convincing yourself that you are
totally in control
and able to live through
this life of hurt and pain? Have you
learned
from the mistakes you made along the
way?
Life is sort of like a big roller coaster
for some people. They wait for
that big rush
of adrenaline to pick them up and carry them
on to the
next burst of energy. I don't like
all those ups and downs. Roller coasters
are
not for me and I don't think I want my
emotional well being to depend
on temporary
joy.
Examine your heart friend and ask God to reveal
the areas of your life that
are joy
stealers. But be ready because He will, and
some of those things
are hard to give up.
But when you do, it will be worth it and
your joy
will be full and overflowing to
those around you.
Scripture reference:
Lamentations 3
I hope you will get your Bible out and see
what God has to say about all
this.
