STOP! And Spend Time With God! Part Six
To God Be The Glory
When I shared with my wife the vision God had
given me, we talked for a while about what
we should name this new daily devotional.
We didn't know what the name would be, but
we knew that it had to be something concerning Covenant. That was when my
wife suggested; " Name it Covenant Talk ". The name stuck.
Once again, I am not bragging on myself, but
on God when I share the following
facts.
All during my school years, I wrote things,
mainly poetry, sometimes I would draw
cartoons or write stories that I never finished. As time and age came on,
I eventually put that talent to the side and didn't use it. Now ,God is
using that talent for His Glory, and " Covenant Talk " has grown from going
out to that 1 person to nearly 30 people via e-mail. That is awesome to
me! It is awesome to think that God could take me, somebody who all their
early life was told he was ugly, stupid, mentally-retarded and who would
never amount to anything, and turn him into a multi-talented voice for His
Glory and use! God has also recently showed me that I also have a gift for
teaching just like my wife! And He's made a way for me to use it at my church!
Praise God! ( Again, I brag not on myself but on God. )
You may wonder why I keep stating
that I am not bragging on myself. The
reason is that there was a time that I
thought to myself; " I sing soooooooo
goooood! Look at me! " In other words,
I was singing to bring myself glory,
not God! One day, the Holy Spirit said;
" Why are you stealing God's Glory ? "
Ouch!
