Prayer for 2001
" Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily Bread.
And forgive our sins,
As we forgive each one of those
Who sins against us.
And lead us not to the time of trial,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The power and the glory.

This song; " The Millenium Prayer " was recorded by Sir Cliff Richard in
1999. I still believe it is a message for the body of Christ in 2001.

Submit to What?
You've been around them. Men who call their wives " the old lady " or other
worse things, and men who brag " I tell that woman 'Jump! ' and she yells
out
'How high, honey? ' on the way up! " Others add profanity to it and brag
how they slap their wives around and bark at them like a dog.
Now, I ask
you, what kind of love is that? Tough love? I don't think so! In my opinion,
a man who would do such as this is not a man at all, but is instead nothing
but a childish bully whose motto is; " it's my way or the highway! " They
also DO NOT have Jesus in their heart! Now, this may ruffle a few feathers
as the old saying goes, but that's my outlook on a man who acts this way.
Point number two is that most men who brag in this manner , only WISH IT
WAS THIS WAY! Truth be known, it's the other way around in most cases. Maybe
not to the extreme we mentioned, but the other way around just the same.
The husband submits to the wife and wishes he had control of the home. Jesse
Duplantis tells a story about some uncles of his who did this, one of who
got caught bragging in this way by his wife. Remember husbands; Ephesians
5:23 says that you are the head of the wife, not the ruler and dictator
over her. In short, husbands; if you want your wife to submit to you, then
you must provide her SOMETHING WORTH SUBMITTING TO!
Why do you think Sarah called Abraham lord? Because he gave her something
worth submitting to!
Husbands, if your wives are not submitting to you,
it could be because you are not providing anything worth submitting to.
There are two things you can do: Provide a love that is worth respect and
love your wife the way Jesus Christ loves the church and gave Himself for
it. If you will do this, it will be easy for her to submit to you, and most
importantly, she will want to!
