STOP! And Spend Time With God! Part Seven
A Day With God
When that revelation hit me, I boxed all
my accompaniment tapes up and
buried
them in a closet for several months. I told
God; " When You feel
I can handle it,
tell me to break them back out. " Finally
the day came when God said; " Break
the tapes back out. " I praise God
because I have never sought self
glory again. I've never even considered
it! And because of that, God is using me
in many ways: in singing, in ministering
the Word and in writing the Word.
When I took all the glory, God couldn't
use me in any of those things! There
was also a time that I grew so cold
toward God, that G.D. was my favorite
word! I thought it was " cool " to say
it over and over again! I share this to
show you that I've been in the
devil's
trenches. I know what it's like to lose
your love for God and
turn from Him.
But I also know what it's like when
He welcomes you back into His arms
like the father of the prodigal son
welcomed him back into his arms.
This is an example of what spending
time with God can do and what not
spending time with God can do.
David
said in Psalms 84:10 that;
" For a day in Thy courts is better
than a thousand. I had rather be a
doorkeeper in the house of my God
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness."
