The following is a poem Jesus gave me for His Birthday
celebration this year:
SANTA'S CHRISTMAS SEASON PRAYER:
" My Father in heaven, it's Nicholas, Your son.
I wanted to talk to You before my work has begun.
I thank You for giving me a purpose in life -
to bring hope and cheer amongst chaos and strife.
But, Father, many stores and homes that you see
are not giving You thanks, they're honoring me!
Father, You know my heart, and this wasn't my intention
that people speak of me, but Your Son never mention.
Forgive us, O Lord, for distorting this season.
It's not giving gifts, but Your Gift that's the reason.
All Glory goes to You, Father, You gave us Your Son.
And thank You, Lord Jesus, for what You have done.
This is Nicholas, Your servant, ready to make my Christmas Eve flight-
Happy Birthday, Lord Jesus! This is a holy night.
Amen. "

Why Blood?
Why did the Covenant have to be in blood? Let's look at Leviticus 17:14:
" For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is the life thereof:
……."
So now, Why Blood? Because life is in the blood!
How did life get in the blood? By the Holy Ghost! Let's look at Genesis
2:7 :
" And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into
his nostrils the breath of life ; and man became a living soul ( mind ,
will and emotions ). "
The Hebrew word for the dust God used describes a soil that has a kind of consistency
to it ( like clay ). Scientific studies have discovered that the genetic
makeup
of man has been proven to be exactly like that of clay!
The Aramic words for breath and breathe reveal the breath of God, which
is the
Holy Spirit, which was breathed into the lump of clay God had formed in
His Image,
which became the blood and gave both spiritual and physical life to the
lump of clay.
( Animals do not have spiritual life! )
When Adam and Eve committed "Fruitgate " ( Genesis 3:1 - 6 ) , they died
a Spiritual death which also caused us to be spiritually dead , thus creating
the need for a Blood Covenant. Because
of their sin , God could no longer
go into the Garden of Eden and walk and talk with Adam
and Eve face to face like He had before , He could only speak to them from
a distance.
Instead of seeing God , now Adam and Eve could only hear His Voice.
This
led to the first Blood Covenant:
" Unto Adam and also his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins , and
clothed them . "
( Genesis 3:21 )
When God killed the animals to make clothes for Adam and Eve the blood of
the
animals covered over ( atoned ) their sins. It also covered :
1. Their
death of disobedience
2. Their spiritual death
Without the atonement for their sins which the animals innocent blood provided,
One look from God upon Adam and Eve and they would have been instantly
consumed. ( Exodus 33:20 )
Because of the atonement and covering of their spiritual death , God could
once again
look upon them because sin was covered over by innocent life.
But, remember , atonement only covers over sin , it does not remit ( or
wipe out ) sin.
So, atonement is only a temporary fix!
