Prayer for 2001
" Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily Bread.
And forgive our sins,
As we forgive each one of those Who sins against us.
And lead us not to the time of trial,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The power and the glory.
Let all the people say Amen,
In every tribe and tongue.
Let every heart's desire be joined,
To see the Kingdom come.
Let every hope and every dream,
Be born in love again.
Let all the world sing with one voice,
Let the people say Amen. "

" After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
( Matthew 6:9 - 13 )

This song; " The Millenium Prayer " was recorded by Sir Cliff Richard in 1999. I still believe it is a message for the body of Christ in 2001.

Covenant Talk Honoring the Covenant

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you had entered into a Covenant with someone ( like your spouse ) and had to keep the Covenant even though it didn't feel good to do so? God did! Let's look at 5 examples where God honored Blood Covenant even when it didn't feel good. :

COVENANT BETWEEN GOD AND MAN:
1. Genesis 19:27 - 29: God had just destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and Lot's wife had just disobeyed God by looking back and as a result had been turned into a pillar of salt. ( Genesis 19:24 - 26 ) And so we pick up in verse 27: " And Abraham gat up early in the morning ( It was so early in the morning, He didn't get up , He gat up !!!!!! ) to the place where he stood before the Lord. And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah , and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and , lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace. And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt. "

Two things happened here that are not mentioned in the text. First , Abraham had disobeyed God by taking Lot with him into the land that flowed with milk and honey. But, because God had a Covenant with Abraham , and even though Lot did not have a Covenant with God , God had to honor the Covenant He had with Abraham because Lot was Abraham's nephew , and Covenant also extended to the partner's family. If you were in Covenant relationship with one family member , you were in Covenant relationship with all the family members! Maybe that's why Jesus said to love your enemies! After all, some family members make it hard to honor Covenant with! But, God honors Covenant , even when it doesn't feel good to do so.

2. Exodus 32:1 - 14: While Moses was up on the mountain , ( Exodus 32:1 ) talking to God and receiving the Ten Commandments, Aaron , whom Moses had left in charge , had let the Israelites persuade him to build a golden calf for them to worship instead of God. ( Exodus 32:2 - 6 ) When God saw this , He told Moses; ( Relax , I'm going to paraphrase a little bit! ) " Leave Me alone , so I can take my anger out on these stiff-necked , ungrateful people and burn them up. If they thought the fire was hot that they used to melt that gold to make that calf , just wait'll they get a load of this ! " But, Moses told the Lord; " Hold it! Wait just a minute! Can you say ' Covenant'? Besides , You don't want the Egyptians to get to wag their tongues and say; ' Well, lookie here! Israel's God brought His people out to the mountains to kill 'em and consume them from the face of the earth! Well, what do you know about that ? !!!! ' " Boy, that must have hurt for God to have to honor that Covenant! ( Genesis 32:7 - 12 )
