Happy New Year 2001!

Prayer for 2001
" Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily Bread.
And forgive our sins,
As we forgive each one of those Who sins against us.
And lead us not to the time of trial,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The power and the glory.
Let all the people say Amen,
In every tribe and tongue.
Let every heart's desire be joined,
To see the Kingdom come.
Let every hope and every dream,
Be born in love again.
Let all the world sing with one voice,
Let the people say Amen. "

" After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
( Matthew 6:9 - 13 )

This song; " The Millenium Prayer " was recorded by Sir Cliff Richard in 1999. I still believe it is a message for the body of Christ in 2001.

Covenant Talk Honoring the Covenant-Part 2

COVENANT BETWEEN GOD AND MAN PART TWO:

When Moses reminded God of the Covenant He had made with the Israelites, he used Jacob's Covenant name Israel . God wanted to see if Moses would honor the covenant as well. He also wanted to see what kind of leader He had in Moses , whether Moses would sacrifice his position for the sake of the Covenant , the lives and the good of the people he led. God knows our thoughts ( Psalms 94:11 ), and to be a good leader we must be ready to defend the Covenant we have with those who in authority of or in covenant with.

3. Exodus 12:1 - 17 , 34 - 36: Here, we will look at some of the steps of cutting Covenant God used in cutting this Covenant:
Exchange of Names: ( Verse 12 , latter part of the verse: " …. I am the Lord , " )
Exchange of Weapons: ( God sends the Death Angel : Verse 12 )
Blessings and Cursings :( Verses 15 - 17 )
Exchange of Garments: ( Verse 35 )

COVENANT BETWEEN MAN AND MAN:

4. 1 Samuel 18:1 - 4: Jonathon loved David as much as he loved his own soul and cut a Covenant with him.( 1 Samuel 18:1,3 ) Problem was, Jonathon was King Saul's son and Saul hated David because the people were singing; "Saul has killed his thousands , and David has killed his ten-thousands!" ( 1 Samuel 18:17 )

There were two steps of cutting Covenant used in this Covenant:
Exchange of Garments and Exchange of Weapons ( Verse 4 )
" And Jonathon stripped himself of the robe that was upon him , and gave it to David , and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle. "

Jonathon also had to put the Covenant to the test when his father Saul tried to kill David ( 1 Samuel 19:10 ). Later on , it was David's turn to honor the Covenant when he had several chances to kill King Saul , but he could not because King Saul as you know was the father of David's Covenant partner Jonathon. ( 1 Samuel 24:1 - 4 , 9 - 22 )
