Happy New Year 2001!

Prayer for 2001
" Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily Bread.
And forgive our sins,
As we forgive each one of those Who sins against us.
And lead us not to the time of trial,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The power and the glory.
Let all the people say Amen,
In every tribe and tongue.
Let every heart's desire be joined,
To see the Kingdom come.
Let every hope and every dream,
Be born in love again.
Let all the world sing with one voice,
Let the people say Amen. "

" After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
( Matthew 6:9 - 13 )

This song; " The Millenium Prayer " was recorded by Sir Cliff Richard in 1999. I still believe it is a message for the body of Christ in 2001.

Covenant Talk Honoring the Covenant-Part 3

COVENANT BETWEEN MAN AND MAN PART TWO:

5. 2 Samuel 9:1 - 13: King Saul was dead , and David was now king. So now, David didn't have to keep Covenant any longer , right? WRONG!!!!!

( Verse 1:) " And David said; ' Is there yet any that is left in the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathon's sake? ' And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him; ' Art thou Ziba? ' And he said; Thy servant is he. 'And the king said; ' Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him ? ' And Ziba said unto the king, ' Jonathon hath yet a son , which is lame on his feet. ' And the king said unto him; ' Where is he? ' And Ziba said unto the king; Behold , he is in the house of Machir , the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar. ' Now when Mephibosheth , the son of Jonathon , the son of Saul , was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said; ' Mephibosheth! 'and he answered; ' Behold , thy servant! ' And David said unto him; ' Fear not: For I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathon thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.' ( 2 Samuel 9:1 - 8 )

Now, Mephibosheth surely must have been shocked! Here was the man his grandfather had hated and wanted to kill and had tried to kill telling him - a " dead dog " as Mephibosheth called himself in verse 8 , that he would always eat at the king's table! Instead of killing him like Mephibosheth thought David would do , here David was giving him all the land and the house Saul had owned! And , he was giving him Saul's servant , who had fifteen sons and twenty servants of his own! And all thirty-six of them had instructions to till Mephibosheth's land and bring in his harvest! Mephibosheth also had a son named Micah. So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem and ate continually at the king's table , even though he was lame in both feet.
( 2 Samuel 9:9 - 13 )

How's that for moving from the small " blink your eyes and miss it " town of Lodebar to the big city of Jerusalem ? Kind of makes you want to keep exploring the Covenant we have with God through Jesus and find out how you can operate in the Covenant in order to get the full blessings of it!
