Happy New Year 2001!

Prayer for 2001
" Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily Bread.
And forgive our sins,
As we forgive each one of those Who sins against us.
And lead us not to the time of trial,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The power and the glory.
Let all the people say Amen,
In every tribe and tongue.
Let every heart's desire be joined,
To see the Kingdom come.
Let every hope and every dream,
Be born in love again.
Let all the world sing with one voice,
Let the people say Amen. "

" After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
( Matthew 6:9 - 13 )

This song; " The Millenium Prayer " was recorded by Sir Cliff Richard in 1999. I still believe it is a message for the body of Christ in 2001.

Covenant Talk Contrast of the Covenants
Part Two

5. SPLITTING OF THE ANIMALS RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE ( Part Two )

O.T.
Isaiah 53:5

N.T.
Matthew 27:26

WARNING: Do not read this right before eating!

When Pilate had Jesus scourged , He had Him beaten with a whip which had a 3' to 4' long handle. In this handle were tied 4' to 6' long thongs at the end. These thongs were about 1" wide and contained very sharp pieces of bone or metal tied to the end , which cut deep groves into Christ's back to a degree that " His visage could not be recognized. " ( Isaiah 52:14 ) He , like Paul would later , received thirty-nine stripes ( Deuteronomy 25:3 , 2 Corinthians 11:24 ) with this whip and that literally split his back down the middle .

6. THE PRONOUNCEMENT OF BLESSINGS AND CURSING:

O.T.
Deuteronomy 28:1 - 68
Blessings: Deuteronomy 28:1 - 14
Cursing: Deuteronomy 28:15 - 68
Deuteronomy 21:23

N.T.
Romans 8:2 - 4
Galatians 3:13
Romans 6:23

Why did Jesus have to be crucified? To take upon Him the curse of sin and death. He took the cursing of Deuteronomy 28 upon Himself , and as the scripture says; " Cursed is the man that hangs on a tree ( cross ) .

O.T.
Exodus 12:1 - 14

N.T.
1 Corinthians 11:24 - 26

We Christians have memorials to the Covenant displayed in our homes, our vehicles , on our person ( T-shirts , caps , necklaces , etc. ) and maybe even at our workplace and may not even know it. Anywhere you have a cross , an open Bible , a picture of Christ , a scripture displayed , etc. ,this is a memorial to God. Too bad that the world does not realize that the wearing of a cross necklace is a memorial to the Covenant God made with man. If those who have not made Jesus their Lord and Savior knew that , would they still wear a cross necklace? The world wears one because it is fashionable. We children of God wear one because it is a witness and a memorial of the Covenant we have with God through Jesus Christ. Some Chinese restaurants have a statue of Buddha inside. This is a memorial to the Covenant relationship they have with Buddha. If only Buddha were alive to fulfill his part of the Covenant like our Jesus is!
