To understand and walk in the Covenant we have with Jesus, we must do the
following:
1. Read and understand God's Word by reading and understanding the scriptures.
(To better help you understand God's Word, get, along with the King James
Version,
get a literal translation of the Bible, NOT a paraphrased version, which
is man's
opinion of what the Bible says!)
2 Timothy 2:15
Luke 24:45
2. Understand our life and the Spiritual reality we have to life which affects
our day
to day living.
1 Corinthians 2:9 - 16
3. Learn to walk in understanding.
Proverbs 4:1 - 10
4. Learn to walk in victory and boldness.
(If you have not been in a (Spiritual) war, you cannot walk in victory.)
Proverbs 28:1;
1 John 5:4
5. Learn how to cause others to want what you have.
Acts 13:47;
Acts 16:25 - 34
In order to do what Jesus has sent us to do (John 20:21 , Matthew 10:7
- 8),
we must understand and walk daily in the covenant we have with Him. We
must stay "on fire" for God and not allow ourselves to become cold or
"lukewarm". (Revelation 3:15 - 16)
How can we accomplish this?
1. Start your day in prayer. (Psalms 5:3)
2. Pray without ceasing. (Ephesians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
3. Study God's Word. (2 Timothy 2:15, Psalms 119:105)
4. Walk in the Light as Jesus walked in the Light. (1 John 1:5 - 7)
5. Confess your sins. (1 John 5:9)
6. Seek God daily. (Matthew 6:33, Isaiah 55:6 , Jeremiah 29:13 , Hebrews
11:6)
