Happy New Year 2001!

Prayer for 2001
" Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily Bread.
And forgive our sins,
As we forgive each one of those Who sins against us.
And lead us not to the time of trial,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The power and the glory.
Let all the people say Amen,
In every tribe and tongue.
Let every heart's desire be joined,
To see the Kingdom come.
Let every hope and every dream,
Be born in love again.
Let all the world sing with one voice,
Let the people say Amen. "

" After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
( Matthew 6:9 - 13 )

This song; " The Millenium Prayer " was recorded by Sir Cliff Richard in 1999. I still believe it is a message for the body of Christ in 2001.

Covenant Talk Draw on the Covenant

A Covenant agreement is worthless if the Covenant partners do not put a draw on it from time to time. We have already discussed how David honored the Covenant he had with Jonathon , King Saul's son by seeking out Mephibosheth, Saul's grandson and showing him kindness. ( 2 Samuel 9:1 - 13 )

By doing this, David was also putting a draw on the Covenant. But , what do we mean by " putting a draw on the Covenant? " To put it simply, it means that one of the Covenant partners has a need for the other partner to honor a specific part of the Covenant to come to his aid.

Did you know that God chooses the church that He wants you to go to if you want to be in His will? Let's look at Deuteronomy 12:11: " Then there shall be a place which the Lord your God shall choose to cause His Name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes ( Malachi 3:8 - 11 ) , and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the Lord."

Now, I am not telling you to leave the church you attend. Just ask God if you are in His Will and if this is the church He wants you to be a part of. If you consistently listen to the Holy Ghost , then you shouldn't have to even ask this question because you know that you are in the church God wants you to be in. If you are in between church homes at the present time , I encourage you to visit the churches in your area , preferably close to your home and see what God tells you about them. He may say this is where I want you to join and be a part of the vision. Or He may tell you to keep visiting other churches. When the Holy Spirit places a certain church in your spirit, listen to Him and go check it out! By choosing your church , God is putting a draw on the Covenant for you to fulfill.

For more information on this , read Deuteronomy 12:8 - 21.

Don't use the excuse a lot of people do for not going to church; " I just don't feel led to go there! " Let's look at Hebrews 10:23 - 26: " Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; ( for He is faithful that promised; ) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together , as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. "
