Prayer for 2001
" Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily Bread.
And forgive our sins,
As we forgive each one of those Who sins against us.
And lead us not to the time of trial,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The power and the glory.
Let all the people say Amen,
In every tribe and tongue.
Let every heart's desire be joined,
To see the Kingdom come.
Let every hope and every dream,
Be born in love again.
Let all the world sing with one voice,
Let the people say Amen. "

" After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
( Matthew 6:9 - 13 )

This song; " The Millenium Prayer " was recorded by Sir Cliff Richard in 1999. I still believe it is a message for the body of Christ in 2001.

Covenant Talk Draw on the Covenant Part 2

" And it came to pass … that God did tempt ( prove ) Abraham , and said unto him; ' Abraham! ' and he said; ' Here am I! ' And He said; ' Take now thy son , thine only son Isaac , whom thou lovest and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. ' "( Genesis 22:1 - 2 )

What a thing for God to command! There is one interesting question about this situation though. Abraham had two sons: Isaac and Ishmael! Why did God say " thine only son " ? Because Ishmael was not under the Covenant! Had Abraham refused to offer Isaac to God for a sacrifice , the Covenant would have stopped with Isaac because the flow of the Covenant would have been stopped due to disobedience to God. The scripture does not say this , but I believe that Abraham told God ; " Okay , I'll give you Isaac , but I want him back when You get through with him! " because Abraham knew that God had the power to bring him back.

Why did God command such a thing? Because He was putting a draw on the Covenant He had with Abraham!

Let's see what God did in Genesis 22:6 - 14: " And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering , and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said; ' My father. ' and he said; Here am I, my son. ' And he said; ' Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering ? ' And Abraham said; ' My son , God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering. ' ( Here , Abraham prophesied the coming of Jesus! ) so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there , and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son , and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the Angel of the Lord called unto him out of Heaven , and said; ' Abraham! Abraham!' and he said; ' Here am I!' And he said; ' Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son , from Me. ' And Abraham lifted his eyes, and looked , and behold , behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place ' Jehovahjireh ' : as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord , it shall be seen. ' "
