Farewell To A Friend
My brother went to be with the Lord yesterday morning.( 30
August 2001 )
He had once asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior so I believe
that he is with Him in Heaven today.
Today's " Covenant Talk " is dedicated
to my brother and my friend,
Ricky Isaacks.
" Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth
in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. "
( John 11:25 )
Did I tell you that I love you the last time we met.
Did I show the pride I have for you in a way you would never forget?
Though life had its disappointments, together we made it through.
Through the hard times we stuck together like loving brothers do.
Though I have my wonderful family, my beautiful daughter and wife.
Maybe I didn't get to tell you how much you touched my life.
Someday I'll see you in Heaven, to meet our entire family there.
Until then, Lord, I place Ricky in Your tender loving care.
Tell him that
I love him and I never will forget the great times we shared together,
But the story's not over yet.
No, the circle won't be unbroken. I'm reserving my place for the day
of the great Isaacks Reunion 'neath Heaven's pearly gates.
Amen.
