Title: The Love Of Many Shall Wax Cold

For the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with the
story first this precaution: The following story is of a sensitive nature
and may not be suitable for some readers.
Now here's what happened:
A woman in Clear Lake, Texas being treated for post mortem depression for
two years drowned all five of her children on June 20, 2001. The following
is my thoughts on the reason this happened.
"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. "
( Matthew 24:12 )
What can cause a mother to become so " depressed " that she would drown
her 5 children, one as young as six months old? The mother in this case
had been being treated for " post mortem depression " for two years. So
why after two years of treatment, would she suddenly wake up and say; "
I'm going to kill my children today. " This may or may not have happened,
but the children died early in the morning. So, again, the question is Why?
I believe the answer is found in Jesus' Words in Matthew 24:12:
"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
"
I believe that no one, no matter how depressed he or she may be, who really
loves their children could go through with what this mother in Clear Lake,
Texas went through with. Christians, we need to intercede for families.
The devil is attacking our families and what are we doing to stop it? Remember,
Satan has a threefold purpose:
To steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came so that we would have life and life
more abundantly. ( John 10:10 )
Also pray for the mother and father in this case, the remainder of the family
and the medical and police personnel who had to be involved in this case.
The world along with many Christians, have a habit of saying that children
( or anyone ) who leave this life while they are still children " are in
a better place. " While this is true, the Lord has another message He wants
the world to know. All five of those children are with Him.
It's time to go to war against the devil. He used water to kill 20 people
in one weekend, then he again used water to kill 5 precious children in
one morning. This has to STOP! Remember " greater is He that is in us,
the body of Christ, than he that is in the world! " ( 1 John 4:4 )
It's time to take authority over the devil in the Name of Jesus. It's time
to make this declaration: " Satan, in the Name of Jesus, you will take no
more of the lives of our children. Our children are covered in the Blood
of Jesus and you can't touch them!
Take your hands off our children in Jesus' Name! You cannot have them!
I proclaim that our children are under the protection of Almighty God and
no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Loose them and let them go
in Jesus' Name! "
