 Title:  Finances 16
 by Dennis Reschke

Finances 16

Keep the soil wet by continually speaking the water of the Word over your seed. God does everything with a hundred fold yardstick (Lk 8:8): this is the law of His kingdom. Eph 6:7,8 says, "With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free". I believe we could make a living doing this: doing good, and God rewarding us for it in kind. Search and hunt for something to give, somewhere to give. Giving must be a life style for every Christian. Keep casting your bread on the water and after many days it will return on every wave (Ecc 11:1).

Zech 10:1 "Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field". God acts like rain. The revelation of the prayer of Jabez (1Chr 4:10) is sweeping the country right now. The take home lesson is that God acts by invitation and that He is exceedingly generous if we have the right motives for asking. 1Kings 8:35 says, "When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against You; if they pray toward this place, and confess Your name, and turn from their sin, when You afflict them" - sin stops the rain.

Lastly, there's a time to stand: "after having done ALL, stand" (Eph 6:13). If you're not tithing, you haven't done all; if you're not giving, you haven't done all; if you are regarding sin in your heart (Ps 66:18), you haven't done all. This list goes on. Seek the Lord about "having done all" and He will tell you what's left to be done, if anything. Gen 15:11-13 "And when the fowls came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away. And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And He said to Abram, Know of a surety that your seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years". The point I want to make here is that Abram had to fight the birds off his sacrifice to God till they were consumed and THEN God gave him the answer. He had to fight the devil off his sacrifice. We will have to do the same thing off of our sacrifices. Satan will PROVE to you it ain't going to work. STAND! stand, stand, stand, stand, and when the harvest time comes, put in the sickle. The harvest is faith which came from confession. The sickle is words: speaking mobilizes faith. No words, nothing for the angels and the Holy Spirit to work with (Jer 1:12, Ps 103:20). "We believe and therefore speak" (2Cor 4:13). This is how we got born again (Rom 10:9). Faith is the currency of heaven and words are the paper on which it is printed.

Now shout Glory to God, He gives the increase! Give your praise to God, don't give it to yourself, don't exalt yourself (Lk 14:11, Pr 4:7-9), let God do that. Now's the time to increase. When the harvest is manifest, reach out to produce more, more territory, more influence.
