Finances 19
What is prosperity, according to the Word of God? It entails
spirit, soul, and body. We cannot consult the world to answer this question
because Paul said "do not be conformed to this world" (Rom 12:2). This means
the prosperity of God will look different than the world's prosperity. God
says the wisdom of man comes to nought (1Cor 2:6). He says the way of the
ungodly shall perish (Ps 1:6). We cannot look to the world for the answer
to this question. We should be transformed by the renewed mind (the word).
The thing that is wrong with the world and its system is that its head is
the devil. He controls the whole thing. Its perverse to the core. The world
doesn't know this because he's a master liar. He uses deception to change
the elements of the laws of God, so that he can either use it himself against
you because all of God's laws are in your favor. Or keep you from using
them against him. All of God's laws are not in his favor. Prosperity, just
like anything else, operates under a set of laws. What we need to find out
are the elements or principles of this law.
Rom 8:2 "For the LAW of the
Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the LAW of sin and
death". The LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is the master Law
that we're operating under. The Greek word for law carries the same meaning
we give it, like the law of gravity. Faith operates under law also (Rom
3:27). The force that causes the law to work is the force of faith. When
you put the elements of the law together, they will manifest in exactly
the way God said they would produce. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing
by the Word of God: it works! I have received faith many times by hearing
the Word of God. What satan does is distort the thing so that we screw up
the order and arrangement of these things so God can't make them work. This
is what happened with Job. He couldn't figure out where he was missing it.
But once he figured out what was the matter, through revelation from God,
his deliverance was instant. They're laws and they work. They have to work,
just like natural laws have to work. God installed them into the universe
for that purpose. If He didn't want them to be used, He shouldn't have put
them there. If some guy thinks that being a Christian is being a certain
political persuasion, he'll never become one. As long as satan can continue
to convince him this is the case, he can kill him. The law of faith can
work for us and against us. God honors whatever we believe, even if its
wrong and to our detriment (Jer 17:10, Rom 6:23, 14:14).
God came along
and wrote a code book we call the Bible. The Word of God is a sword, dividing
soul from spirit, joints from marrow, thoughts and intents of the heart.
God's Word is established forever (Mk 13:31, Ps 119:89). God even places
Himself under the laws of His Word (Ps 138:2). Deut. 29:29 "The secret things
belong to the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong to
us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law."
If it worked for Abraham 6,000 years ago, it will work for you and me. God
is no respecter of persons. Deut. 7:9 "Know therefore that the LORD your
God, He is God, the faithful God, Who keeps covenant and mercy with those
who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations". We are
no where near a 1000 generations from Adam. He sent the Holy Spirit as our
teacher so we can receive revelation and learn how to put these laws to
use to glorify God. He also gives us the equipment to put down the devil
who says it will not work for you.
