Finances 24
No word of God can be used effectively without first having
an inner image of it. We tend not to think in words, but in pictures. For
example, when you think of the word dog, immediately a picture of a dog
appears in your mind. We then proceed to describe the pictures inside of
us when we communicate. Faith is a picture of something that has as yet
no physical reality. This is what an artist does or an architect. The later
even make models of the preconceived structure. To me this is analogous
to hope (Heb 11:1). God framed (or hung) the world with faith-filled words
(Heb 11:3). The force of faith in the words was powerful enough to create
the picture and then manifest in the physical world. Faith-filled words
entered into a nothingness world and expressed this universe. God has allowed
us to do this also because we have His spirit and are created in His likeness
and image. We are predestined to be conformed to the image of his dear Son
(Rom 8:29). We get the word, and begin to confess it.
Adam was the god of this world. He committed high treason by dumping it
over to satan. Now the world is no longer in the image of God, and He has
no way of fixing it. Satan didn't take it by force, Adam gave it to him.
Adam could have given it to anyone he wanted. It was his to give or keep.
God is dealing with a set of laws: the spoken word; the written word; the
law of Genesis, which is, like begets like; the law of faith. But now the
law of sin and death was added. How's God going to change this fallen world?
The same way He got it there in the first place, with words. He paints a
picture on the inside of someone with words. Now faith comes, as a result
of these words, to change the wrong that has perverted everything. Since
God no longer owns the world, he has to find a men and women to do this
for Him. People, since they grow up in a perverse world, don't know what
to say to bring these things to pass. The god of this world is preaching
fear and death, so men say with words, fear and death. God says words of
life, and those that believe and say, bring it to pass. This is how the
whole thing works. God backs faith-filled words with power to make it come
to pass.
This is the mechanism: Isa. 55:9-11 "For as the heavens are higher than
the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your
thoughts. For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns
not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that
it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall My word
(rhema; seed) be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto
Me void (empty), but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall
prosper in the thing whereto I sent it". The word has inherent power to
make itself come to pass. The Word is sharper than a two-edge sword; it
is not void of power (Lk 1:37). No word will not produce. As long as you
remain good ground, and satan is kept out, it will produce. It has to.
