 Title:  Finances 29

Finances 29

Rom 10:12 "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich to all that call upon Him". Rich means more than you can see anyway to use, spirit, soul, and body. God richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (1Tim 6:17). Our God is the God of more than enough (Eph 3:20).

If you don't live this way now, you'll have to do it in heaven because we can't please God without faith (Heb 11:6), and there's no sin there (Rom 14:23). He's the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb 13:8). We have an image on the inside of us, painted by religious words, that has us plucking harps on clouds in heaven. It will be easier in heaven to believe because there won't be any opposition to our faith then.

Deut 8:18 "But you shall remember the LORD your God: for it is He that gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day". Wealth, riches, and prosperity should not trigger in our minds, gold, silver, and political power. It should first be spiritual prosperity. If gold was evil, however, He would be evil because He's surrounded by it (Rev 1:13). The love and dependence on money is the root of all evil (1Tim 6:10) because it takes us off the dependence on God to gain wealth. He did not say a rich man could not enter the kingdom, He just said it was hard (Matt 19:24). Rich men trust in their riches. Money and political influence is actually the lowest form of power that exists in this earth; the highest form is prayer. If you know how to pray you can get wealth and influence the affairs of men.

The world is more prosperous now then it's ever been. The problems associated with wealth are now magnified and much greater than the ones that go with poverty. The remedy of poverty is trivial compared to the remedy of millions of people with lots of wealth. Prosperity is the ability to use God's power to meet the needs of mankind: social, mental, physical, soulful, spiritual. The greatest thing God can do for us is not to save us but to reveal to us His word because through the Word we can not only find out spiritual salvation, but also the salvation of our souls and bodies (1Thes 5:23).

Deut 29:9 "Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do". God says in order to prosper in everything we do, we have to keep His Word. It's the Word in a man or woman of God that makes them prosperous.
