Finances 38

Prosperity is to have God manifest Himself to you through His word. This makes you rich. You can always contact Him through His word. The gifts of the Spirit, unlike the Word, are not a way of life. They are for ministry. Jn14:23 "If a man love me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make our abode with him". God manifests Himself to the world by this means (v.22). The only way to have God live with or in you is by abiding in the Word. Feelings and emotions are excluded. There are some people who are waiting to be saved. They don't have to wait. We are born again through the Word (1Pet 1:23) and His Word is here now. Some people want a Paul-type experience when it comes to prosperity. There is no need for such an experience to receive prosperity, it is being offered by Jesus in His Word now. Remember it is God Who has given us the power to get wealth to establish His covenant in the earth (Deut 8:18). Wealth is the ability to use God's power to meet the needs of humanity, regardless whether financial, spiritual, physical or social. If you got the Word, you can meet any kind of need there exists.

In the world, income allows outgo. In the Kingdom it's reversed: outgo gives income. "Well, I don't have it to give". That's not true, if nothing else you have a smile and a hand shake to give, you have a testimony, you have a song or hymn, your pots and pans, you have a coat, you could fast a meal. God said He gives seed to the sower (2Cor 9:10). If you determine and decide in your heart to be a sower, God will provide. Give your best, not your left overs. Sow left overs, get left overs; sow good stuff, get good stuff.

Matt 6:19,20 "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust corrupts, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not break through nor steal." We have taken our church pencils and written right behind this and said you can't get it till you're in heaven (We've taken the same church pencil and erased the 12 and 14th chapters of 1 Cor. too). Jesus said where your treasure is there is your heart also (Lk 12:34). My heart is in heaven right now. There is enough of the Word in my heart now so that I'm not earthly minded anymore. I don't think like the world anymore. Set your affections on things that are above where He is now at the right hand of the Father (Col 3:1,2). My treasure is in heaven, my heart is set in heaven, He'll meet our needs according to His riches in glory, His riches are where my riches are. Now put these things together and you can get what you need when you need it. If I'm earthly minded, then I'm limited to the earthly way of doing things. If the banker says I can't, then I can't.
