Title: Remembering

Remembering
He was hurting and unnoticed;
I was wrapped up in myself.
She reached out to me unhappily;
I wasn't there to help.
We all have problems; circumstance
That cause us great dismay.
We get so focused on ourselves
We scarce take time to pray.
Going here and going there,
Spinning round and round.
People here are crying out,
Sinking as they drown.
Drown within a sea of grief
While waves of deep despair
Push them further under.
Doesn't anybody care?
Lord. forgive us when we hurry
On past the wounded man
Bruised and beaten by the world;
Laying in life's sand.
We scurry by, too busy
Like the Levite or the priest.
We don't have time to render aid
Nor any need to meet
Lord Jesus, I remember
When I lay on that road
And You came by to pick
me up
Then carried my great load.
So at this time I give you thanks
For all the things You've done
Dear Lord, forgive my selfish heart
In me Your will be done.
At times we should take a look at where Jesus brought us from and reach
out with that same mercy to others on our road. Lord, help us be more in
tune with your will for us to love others and serve them. As you became
a servant, so may we also be. Amen Love Diane
