A Higher Place`
As Moses went to the mountain top
To seek God's holy face
We must seek in our daily walk
To rise to a higher place.
In Bible times, a higher place
Was reserved for the worship of them
That people believed to be their gods
Who could heal them or free them from sin.
But there was only one place
Where an altar was raised
Where the most Holy God
Was the One Who was praised.
A higher place
And I have found it
Where righteous hearts
Gather around
it.
Where those who desire
A closer walk;
For God to control
Their actions and talk.
Where He will get glory
In all that they do
Where sin can't control
And worship is true.
How I long to rise
To that glorious place
Grant me, My Savior
Your wonderful grace.
Grace that will take me
All the way home.
Grace what will leave me
Never alone.
