Seeds
Jesus told a story
'Bout a sower planting seeds.
As he sowed, some fell away
So many birds found feed.
Other seeds fell on the rocks
Prepared to go to sleep.
But their fate was sad because
The soil was not deep.
The sun came out and dried them up,
No roots were in the ground.
Other seeds were choked by thorns;
No life in them was found.
But some seeds found fertile soil
And sprang to life one day.
Yielded grain a hundred times:
The sower to repay.
Jesus said that little seed
Is like the Word of God
Sown within the hearts of men
Seeking ready sod.
Satan like the little birds
Comes to steal the Word.
Because we do not understand;
It's like we've never heard.
The Word that falls upon those hearts
With joy begins to grow.
But trouble comes and like the sun
It dries them up, we know.
The Word that fell among the thorns?
Those hearts were bound by care.
They turned away to worldly things;
No fruit to ever bear.
When the Word finds soil to grow,
In hearts that understand.
It springs to life and bears much fruit
Just like the Master planned.
Jesus said we have not chosen Him but He has chosen us. And in this is the
Father glorified; that we bear much fruit.
Fruit from the tree of righteousness whose fragrance is so wonderful that
passersby are drawn and compelled to taste and see that the Lord is Good!!!

Academy in Houston, have 5 children, all married, one husband of 40 years,
I like to write poetry and teach the Word of God. I have been on 6 missions
trips to Spanish speaking countries because I'm fluent in that language. I have taught a childrens ministry, clown and often sing. I am blessed.
