Title: Trial By Fire

Have you courage O People of God,
To stand when others bow
Before their gods of stone or flesh;
To whom they've made their vow?
Will you prevail in faithfulness
Although you be threatened with death
Though you be tortured,tormented and tried
By the fire's hot, angry breath?
Do you have faith to believe that your God
Will surely deliver you whole?
Can you stand proudly, proclaiming His power;
His assurance deep in your soul?
The fire can get hot; your flesh will recoil
But your spirit will march right on through,
Because through it all, His Spirit will guide
To do what He wants you to do.
We remember the three Hebrew children when faced with the threat of their
lives, would not bow because they were certain their God was able to deliver
them but even if He chose not to they refused to bow. How often do we bow
before the idols of doubt, fear and unbelief? These are the days that Christians
must remember that the righteous are as bold as a lion and that no matter
what happens in our lives, God is able to deliver us. The Lion of Judah
is well able.

I am a teacher /secondary principal at Christian Life Center
Academy in Houston, have 5 children, all married, one husband of 40 years,
I like to write poetry and teach the Word of God. I have been on 6 missions
trips to Spanish speaking countries because I'm fluent in that language. I have taught a childrens ministry, clown and often sing. I am blessed.
