Title: Come and Dine
by Diane Sample

|
When we eat from Egypt's fare
Things which please our flesh,
Our body's full and fat indeed
But our spirit has no rest.
Too many things crowd into days.
For the Word of God there's no time.
We can't hear His voice calling to us,
"My child, come drink of My wine."
"My table is set with heavenly bread,
I've living water for you.
You've only to feast on what I've prepared.
Just this I require you do;
Spend your time wisely in learning of Me;
Turn from all worldly things.
You'll never find pleasure or peace or true rest
Like heavenly manna will
bring."
The word of God is what we need to satisfy. It is our sword and shield.
It will defeat depression, doubt and all the fiery darts of Satan if we
hide it in our hearts and allow the Holy Spirit to bring the Word to our
remembrance. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. Amen love Diane.
