Title: Feelings Change

I don't feel any different,
But Lord, I know it's real.
This mighty Work which you have done
Isn't based on what I feel.
Oftentimes in days gone by
Emotion would run wild,
But those were days of younger years;
My steps were as a child.
I'm older now and wiser yet;
My feelings aren't the rule.
Your work is deeper,lasting,Lord;
Each one a precious jewel.
For feelings come and go away;
Their moment is soon past.
So give me from your Storehouse,Lord
The treasures that will last.
"When I was a child. I spoke as a child...."
We often respond to emotion as children , newly born again, and base the
work the Lord does in our hearts simply on that. While emotion is part of
our makeup, especially women, I have found that the things the Lord does
are deep in our hearts and many are not experienced in this way. We overlook
the greatness of His work in us if we are solely looking for an emotional
feeling It was strange that a retreat I asked the Lord to help me to receive
his work not in an emotional way, but in a profound way so that I could
be sure I was not being "led " by my emotions. The work was there though
I did not feel it. God is so faithful to let us feel our way until we can
faith our way in that inner knowing that He is God our Father and desires
to give His children the best.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever." He never changes.
Feelings do.

I am a teacher /secondary principal at Christian Life Center
Academy in Houston, have 5 children, all married, one husband of 40 years,
I like to write poetry and teach the Word of God. I have been on 6 missions
trips to Spanish speaking countries because I'm fluent in that language. I have taught a childrens ministry, clown and often sing. I am blessed.
I am thankful for the opportunity to share on a broader basis what the Lord
