Title: God's Somebody
by Diane Sample

|
God's Somebody
A man lay crippled
Beside the temple gate,
Begging help from everyone
Who saw his lowly state.
Then two men as poor as he,
Came and said,"Look here friend."
They spoke the name of Jesus
And his lamesness came to end.
He rose triumphantly,
Praising God with joy
For healing him of sickness,
He'd had since just a boy.
Some of us have lameness
We've carried very long,
And we just sit there helplessly,
Singin' a woeful song.
Then God sends somebody
To speak in Jesus' name
His presence comes upon us;
And we're never more the same.
We, as the lame man of those days,
In gratitude and praise
Pass on the awesome blessing
Of God's unfailing
grace.
Has he blessed you ,dear one,
With overflowing cup?
Then pass the blessing in His name;
Lift someone's spirit's up.
You be that special someone
That God has chosen to
Bring hope and healing to their souls
As someone did for you.
Someone was sent to us at one time or another
to cheer us on, encourage and bless us. It then becomes our joy to pass
on that blessing in Jesus's name. Amen
