Title: Realization

Realization
I sang a song in church today
And came away so sad,
Because the notes I tried to sing
Sounded pretty bad.
I said,"I'm sorry, Lord. I failed
To sing it perfectly.
The song another sang was grand;
Much better, Lord than me"
And when they echoed in my heart-
Those words that Adam heard,
"Who told you" you're not good enough?
My feelings seemed absurd.
For suddenly I realized
The one who'd lied to me
Was the one who in the Garden
Had told his lies to Eve.
My Father is the audience,
It's He whom I will please.
Regardless what it seems to me,
He's the One who sees.
Sees my heart's desire to
Give Him my very best.
I've only just to walk in faith
And He will do the rest.
Deceiving me is Satan's job
Rejecting him's my choice.
I'll close the door to all his lies
And hear no more his voice.
Often we entertain the thoughts that we are less than others; that our gifts
are fewer or that we simply don't have it all together like others do. We
accept feelings of condemnation or low self esteem until we realize that
our heavenly Father knows we are not perfect and never condemns us. It is
Satan who gets us focusing on our own inadequacies and off of the reason
we do what we do.(To please God.)We have, in effect, listened to the devil's
lies and must be reminded that God never tells us we are not good enough.
Someone else does. Whose voice are we listening to? Romans 8:1 There is
therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who walk
not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Amen Love Diane
