Title: The Rod of Moses

The rod of Moses lifted high
Brought forth God's mighty power;
Moses wearied of holding it
Hour after hour.
But God sent one to help him with
The task He called him to,
For if it lowered just a bit
God's people could be doomed.
The rod showed all who would behold
His presence, Holy there.
His people were encouraged when
They knew He'd heard their prayer.
The comfort came to all of them
Because they'd seen His rod
Bring them water from a rock;
From the well of God.
Remember the rod, o people of faith,
Fear not to stretch it forth.
Let everyone be strenghthened by
The measure of it's worth.
Bring forth water from the rock
To thirsty, barren souls.
Use the rod to part the seas
For people bended low.
The rod is God's authority
And found within His Word,
T'will be a song of hope and help
For those who haven't heard.
Though you may grow weary,
The battle will rage on,
The only way to victory-
Hold out until it's done.
For God will send the laborers
To help you when you're weak.
He will lift the burdens and
Give the words You'll speak.
Sing loud, my friend, and joyfully,
The song of liberty
T'will bring them out of bondage-
The song of the soul set free.
Someone said we are the only Bible people read and perchance, they are right.
Nonetheless, we must be the voice of Truth though we seem to cry in the
wilderness. Carry forth the Word of God and ,as Jesus is lifted up ,the
burden-breaking, yoke-destroying Power of God will set the captive free.
II Cor. 2:14
