Title: Holy Spirit Flow

The Holy Spirit longs to fill
His People called by grace,
To be His instruments of love
In this earthly place.
We sing and speak of His great love
And of His power to do
A cleansing work within our hearts
But those He's touched are few.
He's present now to work the fruit
Of righteous; holiness.
In His love He wants to see
Us live a life that's blessed.
But by our sinful attitudes,
We stop the Spirit's flow
He desires willingness;
His desire's that we grow.
He will not go where sin abides.
I'm sure He sheds a tear.
With saddened heart, He moves aside
Grieved that we won't hear.
Hear Him gently call us from
That which breaks His Heart;
Unwilling to be rid of things
That keep us far apart.
Love can't flow, a fountain free
Through resentment's gate.
Joy's not ever present where
There's selfishness and hate.
Precious peace, a gift from God
Is chased away by fear.
Patience there can not exist
When anger we hold dear.
Kindness walks out hand in hand
With gentleness, you see,
When spite becomes a friend to us,
And that should never be.
Goodness never can take root
With lust upon the throne.
Stubborn and unyielded hearts
Hang 'round the neck as stone.
Faithfulness just fades away
Where there's no self control.
By our own hand we set the stage
To be no longer whole.
Come Holy Spirit, fill me fresh
Make my life complete,
Purify my heart anew,
With your Spirit sweet.
Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health even
as your soul prospers. Amen love Diane.

I am a teacher /secondary principal at Christian Life Center
Academy in Houston, have 5 children, all married, one husband of 40 years,
I like to write poetry and teach the Word of God. I have been on 6 missions
trips to Spanish speaking countries because I'm fluent in that language. I have taught a childrens ministry, clown and often sing. I am blessed.
