Title: Summoned by the Master

The Lord has used so many things
To tell His love to me'
Reminding me to not despair;
Each problem He can see.
Sometimes He sends a friend
To speak a helpful word.
Other times He sends my way
A lovely little bird.
When I feel discouraged,
He sends this bird to say,
I know and understand , My child,
The answer's on its way."
Summoned by the Master,
This little scarlet bird,
Will fly across my
troubled path
To tell me God has heard.
Heard the cries of fearfulness;
Seen each heartfelt tear.
"I've sent the bird to tell you
That your Father's very near."
"The red is to remind you
That you're covered by the blood.
No weapon formed will prosper;
No fire, storm, nor flood."
The cardinal is flying,
As he is meant to be
And so the Lord will tell me
This I am to be free.
Distractions come to each of us
Sent from the lord of flies
To change our focus from our God
And hope within us dies.
The flies will swarm about us
To bite and hurt;devour
So we won't see the red bird
And know God's mighty power.
Thank you for the little bird
And for the peace that's mine.
Forgive me when I wander off
In doubt that keeps me blind.
Help me, Lord to stand assured,
That all these things will pass,
For You have given all I need;
More than I have asked.
Beloved, maybe you think that somehow the Lord has forgotten where you are.
Maybe you haven't seen the red bird or the rainbow signs of his promise
because you have been focusing on the flies set your way to distract you
and deter you from the race. The old song still holds truth in the words
which say' Turn your eyes upon Jesus . Look full in His wonderful face.
and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory
and grace." He has engraved you on the Palm of his hand.
Receive that word today. Blessings on you and yours. I Corinthians

I am a teacher /secondary principal at Christian Life Center
Academy in Houston, have 5 children, all married, one husband of 40 years,
I like to write poetry and teach the Word of God. I have been on 6 missions
trips to Spanish speaking countries because I'm fluent in that language. I have taught a childrens ministry, clown and often sing. I am blessed.
I am thankful for the opportunity to share on a broader basis what the Lord
