Title: Go Tell my People
by Diane Sample

|
"My child, go tell My people
How they My Spirit grieve.
They quench by their unwillingness
My blessing to receive.
I long to bless them; fill them up
With water from My well,
But they are fearful, mostly bound
In thinking of themselves.
And how they'll look to others
Who may not understand.
They fear they will look foolish
In following my command.
But as they are obedient
Though foolish they are thought,
They'll grow in grace and faithfulness
And receive the things they've sought.
They'll find they're not receiving
As much as they might be
If they would look beyond themselves
And look instead to Me."
Often the Lord will ask us to do things and our flesh has to struggle to
be obedient. Maybe we are prompted to give a message or a word of encouragement
and the fear of rejection or what others may think will rob us of the blessing
God wants to give us. It may seem strange to do what God calls us to do
but what if Joshua had not marched, Elijah had not prayed or Noah had not
built?
"Obedience, says the Word, "is better than sacrifice" It shows God how sincere
we really are when we are obedient. Amen Love Diane
