An Army Fit For Warring
Man needs determination,
A purposed fixed and sure,
To follow God tenaciously
With a heart for God that's pure.
He'll set his face toward the goal
To win the holy prize.
He'll press on even though the fire
Is right before his eyes.
Assured that God is by his side,
Comittment is his theme.
The victory within his grasp'
No longer is a dream.
The soldiers took the horses
And set the sticks on fire'
They'd tied under their bellies
To see if they would tire.
Regardless of their burning flesh,
The ones who'd keep on going
Were chosen fit for battle
In the Army; fit for warring.
We must also persevere
'Midst storm and wind, or strife.
We could be called at any time
To give our very life.
For the worthy cause of Jesus Christ
We will win the crown.
We'll run with patience;won't look back
'Til faultless we be found.
Regardless how hot the fire, how high the water ,may we run with patience
the race that is set before us with all diligence, looking to Jesus, the
Author and Finisher of our faith. amen love, Diane
And now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless
before the throne, to Him be all honor and Glory forever and ever amen.

I am a teacher /secondary principal at Christian Life Center
Academy in Houston, have 5 children, all married, one husband of 40 years,
I like to write poetry and teach the Word of God. I have been on 6 missions
trips to Spanish speaking countries because I'm fluent in that language. I have taught a childrens ministry, clown and often sing. I am blessed.
I am thankful for the opportunity to share on a broader basis what the Lord
