Title: Be Thankful

Be Thankful

The latest survey shows that 3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the world's population. Awesome -- that's deep--he-he.

Today I'd like to sing to you. Will you sing along with me -- "Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your blessings, see what God has done; Count your blessings, name them ton by ton; Count your many blessings, see what God has done." OK, so I I took editorial privilege with the words, but you get the point.

We tend to forget the things God has done for us in the past. The concept of our prayers is too often, "OK God, what are you going to do for me today." We quickly forget what He did for us last year, last month, last week or even yesterday.

It seems we are living in times where "thank you" is not as common as it should be. Two little words -- so much impact! If we aren't careful, we can let the world's attitude regarding 'thank you' spill over into our spiritual life. We even forget to be thankful in our prayers.

I Cor. 15:57 (nlt) reminds us: "How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ Our Lord." Foremost, we should be thankful for our new life in Christ. Go ahead -- let yourself go -- sing a chorus of "Victory in Jesus," and then be thankful.
