Have you had a good idea for something but didn’t write it down right away, and then five minutes later you can’t remember what it is. That’s disgusting, isn’t it? I had that happen all the time until I got smart and got a micro-tape recorder. Now I let the tape do my remembering. It’s amazing how your wife can send you to the store for three items, and you are lucky if you come home with one of them. Even more amazing is that you can remember with clarity all the dumb things you’ve done in your life. Why do they stay with you to haunt you? I have a whole catalog of them clogging my brain. You probably don’t have any -- he-he. The most astounding thing of all is that we can confess our sins to God who not only forgives them but forgets them. No place in the world can you find a better deal than that. Psalm 103:12 says, “As far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” That’s far enough for me.
