 Devotional   Title: Blows Your Mind by David George  Blows Your MindOnly in America can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance. Only in America do we store useless junk in the garage and leave an expensive car in the driveway. It wonders me!I’ve told you before about our PA Dutch phrase, “It wonders me.” Well, if God didn’t create the earth and all therein and everything “just happened,” then these things “wonder me”: Why are the wings on a gorgeous butterfly exact mirror images? Why are both of our arms the same length so that we can do wonderful things like play the piano and hug? Why is our nose right in the middle of our face so that we have a convenient place to rest our glasses? Why is music so mathematically precise? Why is God so loving that he allowed Jesus Christ to die to offer salvation even to those who turn up their nose and deny his very existence. I honestly don’t know. It’s love beyond what any human would do or can understand. Yet, God did it. Romans 5:8 (niv) says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Blows your mind, doesn’t it? I’m sure we’ll all want to live our life today in a way that displays our gratitude to Him.
