Pure Joy

If I were to ask you for your concept of the words, “pure joy,” what would your response be? One of mine would be, “a gallon of Wendy’s Frosties (I’m diabetic). I would probably get as many different answers as there are readers.

On my website - http://www.e-cheer.com - there is a link for Goshen’s Online Study Bible. Go to it and look up the word “joy”. You’ll see that the Bible is absolutely packed with the word “joy”. Why? Because that is what God offers us, over and over again.

There are so many “joy” verses that it is hard to select just a few, but try these: Neh. 8:10, “...for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”, Psa. 5:11 “But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice; let them ever shout for joy.”, Psa. 30:5, “...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”, John 15:11, “These things have I spoken unto you ... that your joy might be full.”

A roller coaster ride at an amusement park is “pure fun”, but it is very short-lived and temporary. God’s “pure joy” is eternal and it’s free!

Soak up some of it today.
