Title: Rom/Ram

Rom/Ram

WE MADE IT all the way to PA and back safely. Thank you for your prayers. More about the trip on Monday.

If people don't trust lawyers, why do they keep electing them to congress?

Even if you are a novice at the computer, you have probably heard the terms RAM and ROM. RAM means Random Access Memory or a memory into which you can enter information. ROM means Read Only Memory, which is one from which you can retrieve memory, but you cannot place information into it. For example, your CD drive would be like a ROM -- you can only get information from it; whereas, your Disk Drive would be like a RAM because you can place information on the disk.

Is all this man's recent discovery? Consider this -- our Bible is like a ROM with Read Only information. We cannot add to it. In fact, God specifically prohibits it. Prayer directed from us to God is the RAM part of our communication with God. So, you see, the RAM/ROM concept is as old as the relationship between God and man!

Have you thought about what a unique privilege it is that you and I can have this two-way communication with the very God who created us? Eph. 2:18 (niv): "For through Him (Jesus) we both have access to the Father by one Spirit." Eph. 3:12: "In Him and through faith in Him (Jesus) we may approach God with freedom and confidence." I hope you'll take liberal advantage of both your ROM and RAM privileges today. Have a joy-filled day.
