Title: The Miracle of Vision

The Miracle of Vision

We used to do a lot of camping in a pop-up camper. It was great, but we realize that camping isn’t for everyone. Our former pastor said that his idea of roughing it was watching a football game on black and white TV in a motel.

The other morning one of our Florida TV stations showed a gorgeous picture of the sunrise out over the Atlantic. It was awesome! I thought, think what we would miss if we still had a black and white TV .

Think what we would miss if God had only given us black and white vision, but he didn’t. He gave us the unfathomable ability to see everything in the splendor of full color. Just think of the complexity of the human eye and realize that many folks think “it all just happened.”

They are the ones with black and white vision without the rainbow of faith to enjoy God’s spectacular creation in the proper perspective.

The hymn writer, Folliot Pierpoint, said it well when he wrote, “For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies ... Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise .” (Psalm 19:1 (niv), “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Even the clouds declare His majesty.

Today, thank Him for the miracle of vision -- both physical and faith.

Have a praise-filled day.
