Title: Walking on clouds

It is said that there are two sides to every question., but it is also true that there are two sides to a sheet of fly paper, and it makes a big difference to the fly which side it chooses.

In the matter of believing in Jesus Christ, it also matters to you which side you choose -- to believe and follow or not.

Some time ago there was a shooting at our capitol. I was impressed by a statement made by the congressman at whose door the shooting occurred. He said, “It is a very humbling experience to know that someone else (the guard) died in order to save your life.” I couldn’t help but think about Jesus Christ dying in order to save my life -- and yours.

In the case of the congressman, he couldn’t thank the officer who saved him because he was dead, but we can humbly thank our Savior, because He lives.

Have you thanked Him lately for your salvation?

It’s possible that you have never acknowledged Jesus as your Savior. In Acts 4:12 (niv), the writer says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Give your heart to Him now -- you’ll be walking on clouds the rest of the day.
