Title: Whooeee!
 by David George

I got my computer back this afternoon. I’ve been working since then to get everything re-loaded into it. What a job!

You’ve heard the phrase, “Where there’s a will, there’a a way.” Here’s a new take on that -- “Where there’s a will, I want to be in it.” Here in FL we see lots of bumper stickers that say, “We’re spending our kid’s inheritance.”

Many of you have probably been involved in an inheritance. Most of the time you don’t know what to expect. You may be thrilled or deeply disappointed. We used to sing an old country song called, “There’s No Disappointment in Heaven.” You rarely hear it, but it spoke a valued truth.

When it comes to our eternal inheritance, we have only a very limited description of what to expect -- limited because our language has no words to aptly describe what awaits us. However, we do know that we’ll be thrilled and not disappointed.

Are you ready for the reading of The Will.? Is your name in it? Rev. 20:15 (niv) says, “If anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” That’s the bad news. Here’s the good news: Jn 1:12, “Yet to all who received Him (Jesus), to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

That means we can be heirs and have our names in the will. Whooeee! Have you heard any better news than that?
