In the church, NASCAR means “Neatly Arranged Sensible Christians Aggressively Renewing.” He-he -- Nascar, don’t sue me.

Do you know what the average church needs? A NASCAR pit crew! Have you watched these guys work together? Each has his own job to do, but he does it in smooth cooperation with every other member of the crew. There is no room for prima donnas or egos here. Someone should study the basic plan of racing pit crews and adapt it to church administration. Can you imagine the chaos of trying to fill a car with fuel and changing four tires in 15 seconds if each man were represented by a committee? Can you imagine what would happen if each guy on the crew had his own agenda?

1 Cor. 12:27 (nlt): “Now all of you together are Christ’s body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it.” -- you are a part of God’s pit crew. Therefore, you are expected to do your part smoothly and efficiently in concert with the others. Is that cooperation happening in your church? If not, talk to your pastor about developing a NASCAR pit crew mentality for the church. It may work. Isn’t it worth a try?
