God bless you. In Psalm 34 v 1 it says “ I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
This just happens to be
one of my favorite pieces of scripture. It sort of warms my inside and
not without reason. To be a Christian is to embark on the most amazing relationship
known to man, the one we were designed for. As a Christian, I believe it
is difficult not to praise the Lord at all times, in fact I have been doing
it for ten years and praise the name of Jesus, I just can’t seem to stop.
What am I doing for this condition you might ask? Well I am praying, reading
the Bible and having plenty of charismatico. It seems to be doing the condition
good.
Psalm 34 v 3 says “ O magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt his
name together.” That is my prayer right now this very minute, that you and
I can magnify the Lord together even though we have probably never even
met. There is tremendous power in lifting upon high the name of Jesus. It
has the power to change situations and bring new life to the exalter. Look
what happens when you go to a meeting and the whole congregation sing their
hearts out to the Lord and just get caught up in the worship of God. Do
you know what I’m talking about? Good isn’t it? What I have found over the
years is that I often find myself thinking or doing something in a certain
way, then read in the bible that this is a good thing. Praising the Lord
is one example. If you’re a Christian, I can guarantee that there will come
a time when something goes wrong and you find your self praising the Mighty
name of Jesus with all your heart at a time when logic would say just the
opposite. You have probably experienced this already. If I were to say to you “Put your hand in the fire it
will burn you” you would probably reply, “Yes Kev I think you are right.”
However, if you did put your hand in the fire you would then say, “Kev,
I know you are right.” See there’s a difference between thinking and knowing,
or even between believing and knowing. To praise the Lord from the heart
when something goes wrong brings great comfort, and then you will know that
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” The praise of Jesus has the power
to lift you out of the “Blues” and set your feet back on the rock.
Psalm
42 v 5 “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put
your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my God and saviour.
See what
I mean, when we praise the Lord the Holy Spirit within us is stirred up,
and our faith rises, we then look beyond the “here and now” into eternity
and things start to look good. After all, if God is for us who can be against
us? There is a simpler way of looking at this, and that is this. It is just
so good to pour your heart to God and tell him how much you love him. To
tell him how great he is. To proclaim him Lord of your situation. To confess
him King of kings, and Lord of lords. The Lord is worthy of praise.
Well God bless you, have a super week and I pray that this short message has
blessed you. Love, Kev!
p.s. Please feel free to email me either to add something, or to make comment
or just to say hello. If you like I am happy to pray for a scripture for
you and return it via the email. God bless you.
