This site and the privilage of sharing the word on the net
is a major blessing to me especially when you consider that only a year
ago I had never used a pc. But I have been obedient to the Lord, and been
taught, and now have this blessing bestowed upon me . Thank you Lord.

God bless you. Yes I do mean
you reading this web page!
Come with me straight away to the book of James
1 v 2-4: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of
many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete,
not lacking anything.”
If you are going through tough times of any description
know that the Lord is with you, in-fact he’s right beside you so fret no
longer.
Psalm 34 v 19 “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the
Lord delivers him from them all.”
When I have troubles or I am “going through
the mill” as we say in this part of Leicestershire, in amongst the pain,
hurt, frustration and sometimes humiliation, the fact that as a Christian
we can stand on the word of God and know for a fact that the outcome will
be good is a tremendous helping hand. We all go through the mill at some
time or other. John 16 v 33 “ these things I have spoken unto you, that
in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be
of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
You see you will have problems
from time to time but we’ve got something the world hasn’t got. We’ve got
Jesus and he has over come the world with all its problems. That means if
we’re in him we will make it too. If you are going through the mill right
now I can assure you of this. God has got something mighty in store for
you. I have found in my walk so far the enemy seems to attack before breakthrough,
blessing or victory and I see this in the Bible. So you keep on going and
don’t give up. Look what Joseph went through. He started his ministry being
flung into a pit, got sold as a slave and when things started to look up,
he got framed and ended up in prison. But, the Lord's hand was upon him and
even in prison he prospered and eventually he made the big time with pharaoh
and set the course of history. My brethren, God’s got plans for you. It says
so in the Bible and he wouldn’t have me write this article if it wasn’t
so.
There is another aspect to Tribulations and that is the chastening
of the Lord.
Hebrews 12 v 5-6 and you have forgotten that word of encouragement
that addresses you as sons: “ My sons, do not make light of the Lords discipline,
and do not loose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines
those he loves and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.”
I don’t have
any problem with the fact that the Lord chastens and punishes us when we
go wrong. I can remember hearing one preacher putting it this way, he said,
“ if I catch my little boy putting his fingers in the electrical socket
behind the television again I will slap his bottom, because if he got electrocuted
I would never see him again and the loss of my son would be unbearable.”
So if you are going through some correction from the Lord it’s for your
own good and I assure you of this, God knows what he’s doing. So whatever
storms you may be going through remember, nothing is permanent outside of
the Lord, your troubles wont last forever, and you will be stronger as a
result of them. So count it all joy, keep on praising him because “ Things
are looking good.”
Love in the Lord kev!
