This site and the privilege of sharing the word on the net
is a major blessing to me especially when you consider that only a year
ago I had never used a pc. But I have been obedient to the Lord, and been
taught, and now have this blessing bestowed upon me . Thank you Lord.

Today I believe we should look at the subject of
speaking out or standing up for truths.
Romans 12 v 2 " Be not conformed
to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you
may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God."
If we are not to be conformed to this world it is inevitable that there
will be times when we are required to speak out against it. Being a Christian
is "active" rather than "passive."
Isaiah 6 v 8 " Then I heard the voice
of the Lord saying," " Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then
I said, "Here I am." Send me!"
As Christians we are required to speak
out and to tell the truth, we are Witnesses for the Lord. We will be required
to answer questions, and our opinions must be aligned with the bible. In
the piece of scripture above Isaiah answers the call of God by saying "
Here I am, send me." If we get a calling on our lives like this, and answer
by saying " Here I am, send me" we can be sure that God will take us at
our word and send and use us in a prophetic way, that is saying what the
Lord wants to be said in that situation at that time. However it will cost,
but it’s worth it. God will call some people to be more outspoken than others,
we are all different, and have different styles and ways of doing things.
The bible is full of people who spoke out for the Lord, and one who comes
to mind is John the Baptist.
Matthew 3 v 1 " In those days John the Baptists
came preaching in the desert of Judea and saying "repent" for the kingdom
of heaven is near. This is he who was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
" A voice of one calling in the desert, prepare the way for the Lord, make
straight paths for him."
John’s way was very blunt and straight to the
point, he was defiantly not afraid to speak out. Some people loved him for
it and some people hated him for it, but it didn’t bother him one little
bit because he knew he was the Lord's man doing the Lord's thing. Look how
some people loved him ( showed here by their actions).
Matthew 3 v 5-6
People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region
of Jordan. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the river
Jordan.
Some people would have hated him.
Matthew 3 v 7-8 But when he
saw the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said
to them: " You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." John could see through their
hypocrisy, and told them so in no uncertain terms. It looks to me like these
people were going to criticize John, and it doesn’t appear that they did
actually get baptized. My brothers and sisters, don’t be surprised if when
you stand up and speak out you encounter resistance, and don’t loose heart
either. Some people will love you for it and some people will hate you
for it. It cost John the ultimate price. He paid with his life, but if John
was here now I am absolutely sure he would say it was worth it. John stood
alone, there was John and the desert, there was no one else with him, except
the Lord of course.
The aim of this teaching is this! When you speak out
for righteousness, don’t be surprised if you don’t get "Blessed" so to speak.
That doesn’t mean you haven’t heard the Lord, it just means that what you
have spoken has stirred a reaction in that person that you did not expect.
So stand up, speak out, stand your ground and don’t loose heart! The Lord
honors truth He does not honor lies.
Well have a superb week, pray, pray
and pray. Love in the Lord, kev & family.
